Latin America and the Caribbean have been under-explored relative to Anglophone countries in modern times despite having a long history of productive mineral production from the silver mines of Mexico, Bolivia and Peru to the giant copper porphyries of Chile and Peru to world class gold deposits to the lithium brines of Chile and Bolivia.
Political instability has always been problematic in this part of the world and this realm needs to be navigated carefully. It has often been the mistake of potential explorers to put this part of the world in the too hard basket despite numerous success stories that point to the potential gains to be had here.
One just needs to be able to tap into local knowledge to understand where the risks lie, how to avoid them and identify where the opportunities lie and how to embrace those.
